Military Families

You are welcome here! St Helen School has been providing Catholic values and education to military families for almost 60 years. Located within a few miles of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, we welcome children of military families regardless of the time of year PCS brings you here. Many Riverside, Fairborn, Dayton and Beavercreek residents have busing provided. Being only minutes from work will also give you the convenience of being able to bring your child to school. A preschool through eighth grade school, St. Helen is a community that values our military families and their contribution to our nation’s defense.

There are many challenges and stresses specific to a military family. We understand that reassignments can be difficult at first. Our teachers and staff do an excellent job providing a smooth transition for your child and take this into consideration when observing the progress of your child. We have a counselor that meets with new students to make sure they are adapting well. In addition to a school counselor, St. Helen offers many other support services such as: ECHO counselor, psychologist, speech therapist, school nurse, family advocate, intervention tutor, learning disability tutor, ESL Tutor, Title 1, and EdChoice Coordinator.
