The PTO provides many wonderful activities, services and funds that benefit every child in our school. Being involved in the PTO allows you to participate and make a difference in your child’s education. In addition it is a great way to meet others. It is also an opportunity to let you know what is going on in our school whether it is through volunteering, fundraisers, socials or purchasing new classroom equipment.

The PTO functions only with the support and participation of everyone at St. Helen School. The meeting schedule will be announced at the beginning of each school year. We look forward to seeing you at the PTO meetings and helping to increase your involvement in your child’s education and school!

Everybody Counts in an educational program held for one week, typically in March. Volunteers give presentations to the children to help them become more aware of different disabilities and those with disabilities. Volunteers attend a short training session, and are provided with hands-on material to assist in their presentations.

Once a month, we arrange for a local restaurant/business to host our school for socializing. This also provides an opportunity for our school to interact with the community by providing support to local restaurants. Often the restaurant will donate a percentage of the overall sales to our St. Helen PTO. Volunteers are needed to help publicize, support and occasionally help with activities at the event.

This is a NEW opportunity to provide a desired service for our families and create everlasting memories, This will be dances for the 4th and 5th grade students. We need a team to help head this up. Volunteers will also be needed for set up, event details, and clean up.

Field Day is a fun day of activities and games for Preschool-7th Grade. Field Day is held in late May, and volunteers are needed to help with the games, set up, water distribution, escort students to and from the various scheduled activities and clean up. Grandparent’s Day has become a favored tradition at St. Helen over the years, and is a wonderful way to celebrate our grandparents and those adults that are like grandparents to our children.  Volunteers are needed to help with set up, photography, able assisting, serving, and clean up.

Student and teacher birthdays are celebrated during the lunch period of the last Friday of each month. Volunteers are needed to send cards and pass out treats.

Please send in all old cell phones and ink cartridges to the recycling box located outside the school office.

The sweatshirts offered during this sale are the official sweatshirts to be worn with the school uniform. This sale will be held at least once a year. Volunteers may be needed to help with orders and distribution.

Each trimester, the PTO will provide a luncheon and/or treat for our faculty. A sign-up form for food donations and volunteers (assist with setup and clean up) will be emailed to all parents a couple of weeks before each luncheon.

The Used Uniform Sale is held in the Fall and the Spring and is a great way for parents to purchase uniforms at a reduced price. Volunteers are needed to help set up for the sale, sort and sell used uniforms as they are brought to the sale and put the unsold uniforms away.
